I’m wearing Corduroy today are you? I’ve always been a fan of the soft, textured fabric and so evidently are a lot of other people.
The Corduroy Appreciation Club is having their Grandest Meeting today, 11/11/11 in honor of the day that most resembles Corduroy (fans capitalize).
Simply put The Corduroy Appreciation Club is a social club based in New York and made up of members who like Corduroy fabric. They only meet on dates that match the look of Corduroy – 1/11 and 11/1. So, of course 11/11/11 is the best Corduroy day of all. The whale is the club’s symbol and the slogan is “All Wales Welcome.”
I think I’m going to have to join this club.

This is hilarious. I am currently on the hunt for a new pair of skinny corduroy pants. Any suggestions?
Thanks for writing, Blue Suede. Well, I found a pair of corduray leggings at Macy’s. I don’t usually shop at big box stores, but I needed socks and I happend to find these great leggings there. I’ll keep at eye out for skinny cords. In the meantime try Macy’s. (Forgive me, Occupy Movement.)
