I agree. I’ve noticed often in recent years that there is a breadth of “acceptability” with regard to what’s “stylish” which didn’t exist as much in the past – even in the supposedly revolutionary days of the 60’s and 70’s. In many ways, there was even more exclusivity then. Today, we have so many different choices as to how we want to dress. It’s great. I never really feel “out of style.”
Thanks, Paula. I have mixed feelings about the current wave of non-style. I like the freedom but in the future when we look back, there will be no set fashions that define the era, like padded shoulders of the 40s and mini-skirts of the 70s. That’s a shame.
