… I had this idea in my head about how clothing has been this expression and freedom for myself – especially growing up in Ohio. I always knew that clothes were more than clothes. Women wherever I was, would come up to me and say, ‘I wish I could dress like you …’ and I would always think, why can’t you? That was the birth of LOGO.
– Lori Goldstein, American fashion designer and stylist.
Ms. Goldstein has styled some big names in her 30 some-odd years in the business such as Madonna, Angelina Jolie, Michael Jackson, Nicole Kidman, Sarah Jessica Parker, Ray Charles and the list impressively goes on. She started in fashion working for Vanity Fair and Allure magazines and styled with photographer Annie Leibovitz. She’s also worked on campaigns for Prada, Hermes, and Fendi.
In 2009 Ms. Goldstein launched her own clothing line on QVC called LOGO. With the idea of layering she has created pieces that mix and match making styling oneself fun and easy. She says “anything goes with everything.” Fabrics used include a cotton/cashmere blend, cotton modal, and rayon/spandex blends.
I have bought a few LOGO pieces and what I like is the vintage factor. Accessorized in just the right way, this LOGO cardigan adds a nice touch to my 1920s style.
This line looks like something I could really “get into.” Love the relaxed & layered look.
Very inspiring. I am looking in my closet today for layering combos.
