Welcome to Mom’s Closet. On this page readers will find stories about my stylish mother and her clothes, many of which I now own and wear. Most of her closet dates from the 1960s; both my mother and I have memories and stories connected to these very special pieces.

Yes. I can testify to Moya’s assertion that her mom is stylish. Cindy is understated, eclectic and elegant.
She would prefer mellow stones to shiny ones, and pewter over silver.
She is authentically her own person, proudly dancing to her own beat.
Nicely put, Lori, thank you. Please look for more posts on Mom’s Closet – I think you will enjoy them!

Moya and Cindy, I can certainly relate to the handbag, and shoe collections.
And House of Elliot…oh, la, la….!
Have either of you been to Didier Ludot’s Vintage Couture shops in Paris? hmmm
Enjoyed reading the Mom’s closet stories. Will be fun to catch up and talk about these next time we meet up.

Moya, I just noticed that you are wearing Tzphoraha’s shoes on your card.
Hello Dian … thank you for reading Over Dressed for Life. The shoes on the logo (found here and on my card) are based on a 1940s pair of suede pumps I own and often wear to Art Deco events. Thanks for the comments and hope you keep reading.
Love that dress! You look great in it.
